TekXYZ iOS 1.5.0 brings several major changes to how you compete, stay updated, publish videos, and interact with the community.
At the center of this update are Try Again for supported Prize Games and the introduction of Push Notifications, alongside a redesigned Inbox, an upgraded video publishing flow, in-app promotional videos, and a new Feedback experience.
Try Again: Another Shot at Prize Games
Supported Prize Games can now offer Try Again, giving you more opportunities to compete after your first submission.
After entering an eligible event, you’ll see Try Again directly on the event page.
Tap Try Again to see how many extra submissions are available, the points required for your next submission, and your current points balance.
The number of extra submissions and the points required are set for each event. If you submit a new video, it replaces your current event entry and resets your score. The video being replaced remains in your profile and is visible only to you.
This gives you another opportunity to put an improved performance into the competition after more practice.
Stay Updated with Push Notifications and a Redesigned Inbox
Version 1.5.0 introduces Push Notifications, so important activity and updates can reach you even when you’re not actively using TekXYZ. These can include likes, comments and saves, video review updates, event information, account notices, and other important TekXYZ messages.
Inside the app, the Inbox has also been redesigned to make those updates easier to follow. Messages are organized into Likes and Saves, Comments, Video Approval, and System Messages instead of being mixed together in one stream. Likes and Saves brings together likes on videos and comments, along with saves of your videos.
Inbox messages also support multiple languages, creating a more consistent notification experience for TekXYZ users around the world.
More Control Before You Publish a Video
The video recording and publishing experience has received a major update.
After recording a Video Mode session, the result page now works as a more complete publishing workspace. You can add a caption and location, choose a cover, and trim the video before uploading.

Trimming changes the video you publish, but it does not change the game result recorded during the original session.
The upload process also provides clearer progress and status feedback, including options to cancel an upload and clearer messages when an upload fails or times out.
Easier Event Browsing and Clearer Rankings
Prize Games and ranking areas have also received several usability improvements.
On event detail pages, you can now browse participant videos vertically, making it easier to move from one entry to another without repeatedly leaving the event.
Ranked-video indicators and game-type icons have also been refined, helping distinguish Prize Games, Daily Games, and different ranking contexts more clearly. Comment sorting has been improved as well.
Version 1.5.0 also improves how completed-event rankings are displayed when an original participant video is no longer available.
Official and Promotional Videos in the App
TekXYZ can now share official and promotional video content directly in the app.
These videos use the familiar TekXYZ video experience, while clear labels identify content such as official updates, events, products, promotions, and announcements.
Depending on the content, a video can also include an action button leading to something relevant, such as an event or product page.
You can still like, comment, save, and share these videos. If a particular promotional video isn’t relevant to you, Not Interested lets you stop seeing that video in your feed.
A Redesigned Feedback Experience
The Feedback area has also been reorganized to make it clearer where to send different kinds of feedback.

More Improvements Across the App
iOS 1.5.0 also includes improvements to single-device login and Push Notification delivery, updated Prize Games and game-type visuals, refinements to ranking and comment experiences, and additional usability and stability improvements throughout the app.
